Storyteller’s guidelines

Your story should:

be  true

be told without notes

be about 5 minutes long (we won’t kick you off the stage, but we might lose interest.)

have a beginning, middle, & end

Also good to keep in mind:

Telling a story well is an art form.

Don’t ramble.

Make sure your story has a point- then get to it.

Practice your story before you come to the stage. Tell it to your neighbor or even your dog- whichever one has the longer attention span.
